About Us
We are a small family business, established by myself and my wife. I have been a chef for over 30 years and
the love of producing
the finest food from the freshest of ingredients has propelled me into owning several successful
catering businesses. Dough To Go was born out of that enthusiasm and the passion for food.
We pride ourselves in being honest, straight forward, easy and courteous. We don't have any hidden charges,
and the price
we quote, is the price you pay. Wherever possible, we source all of our ingredients locally
and our pizza oven is fueled by wood from a locally managed and sustainable supplier. We
are based in Bridgend, South Wales. We are regularly at Pembrokeshire, Swansea, Cardiff and
Bristol and generally cater to events within a 100 mile radius.
We are proud to have been awarded the highest rating for food saftey and management and copies of public
liability, product
liability etc are available on request. We are currently trading with the permission of Swansea
Council, having been CRB certified.
History
Having seen first hand how fantastic traditional wood fired pizzas can be, I quickly became fascinated with
the art of cooking in a wood fired oven. We had a wood fired oven imported directly from Italy and
installed into a state of the art mobile kitchen.
Our Pizzas
We cook hand made traditional 10 inch Neapolitian style pizzas to order at events, private parties,
functions and other gatherings. Each pizza is carefully cooked to perfection, infusing the flavour of the
best fresh ingredients with the aroma of a wood burning fire.
With a temperature carefully maintained between 350 and 400 degrees celsius, each pizza takes around 90
seconds to cook. The base is thin and deliciously crispy and the cheese is melted to perfection.
Our Mobile Pizza Oven
We had a very definite wish list for our mobile pizza oven. It had to be a traditional wood burning Italian
oven, not run on gas. It had to be fully mobile with the ability to go anywhere. Weather proofing was
essential as our weather isn't exactly on par with Italy, and it had to be silent. Nothing should take away
from the magic of watching your pizza cooking in front of a aromatic wood fire.
To that end, we found a specialist importer and installer of Italian wood fired pizza ovens. They installed
the oven for us and fitted out our specialist catering trailer. It is towed by a 4x4 so will go just about
anywhere. Special covers were manufactured so on the off chance our weather falls slightly short of
Italy's, all is well and everything is kept warm, dry and out of the wind. We also carry a gazibo for the
protection and comfort of our customers. A specialist electric system was installed that requires no
generator or external power supply.
